First of all I would like to thank Fataru and Roddra. I appreciate the advice you guys both gave me from my last blog. Well, Roddra actually told me over the phone...but oh well. Same damn thing. Either way...thanks ^.^ I figure with this blog tonight, I can add a little piece to the puzzle, so to say. A little more to this mystery lady, and the progress that I have made. But first, some boring news of my life.
Christmas Eve...a time when my family opens up gifts, and for my brother in law it was about to be the greatest gift of all time. A PS3. True, I was a little jealous, especially when I was the one doing most of the camping out for it, while my sister and mother just dropped in at stores. We found one after about a week or so. The package was secure, so to speak. Well naturally, a plan can never work as well as you'd hope. Shortly before Christmas Eve, my little bro let slip a tidbit about a ps3 as a gift for someone, within the vicinity of my brother in law. BIG MISTAKE. He then decided that it must be for him, and began to brag to his friends. Thats when I come in.
The plan was simple. I was to get the ps3 instead of him, and he was to get a couple of my gifts, just to fuck with his mind really. Soon after he would get a note in a box saying that the ps3 is actually his, and to give me my stuff back. The plan couldnt have worked more flawlessly. In fact, I was told that I should have recieved an emmy or something for my award winning performance. Fooled everyone, even my parents almost, and they knew about it. Watching the footage afterwords, I was glad to see that just winging it worked out well for me yet again. The day was saved, and I was glad to do it.
Well, one story is enough for tonight, dont you think? Oh...you wanted to hear the mystery girl update? Damn, was hopin you forgot about that part. Fine...fine...here is goes. I had asked her out for that saturday, only to recieve a maybe as a response. I say this because this is truely where the story continues. The next day at work, I play it cool. Maybe she thinks I did just mean as friends. However, now that I had thrown in out in the open, I was reluctant to give up the pursuit. I found out that she actually was busy the night I asked her out, with family stuff. What my luck, eh? However, one thing led to another and somehow we were on the discussion of the infamous PS2 game known as karaoke revolution. Now being the egotistical bastard I am, I was bragging a little bit about my skill.
This week, prior to me even talking to her about karaoke, my room mate and I had planned a house warming/welcome back to town/karaoke party at our new apartment. With a lot of our friends back from Japan and China and wherever else they were, it was a great opportunity to get together and reminisce about our current adventures.
Once again, we can only hope that things work out, cuz quite frankly...being single sucks. Good night everyone! And Merry Christmas! ^.^
