Never underestimate your opponent

Im sure everyones had a moment where they were challenged by someone in something, and completely underestimated the competition. Well, one of those nights happened to me tonight. Its been awhile since I dusted off the old Dance Dance Revolution pads and played against someone. Recently I had discovered that my neighbor in the dorms plays DDR. Naturally I gloat a little about my skill, so he offers a friendly challenge so that I may prove myself. Of course, I couldnt deny my ego a chance to show off so I accepted. Mistake >.>

After a rough few warm up rounds, the competition began. Now seeing that I havent played in awhile, I was proud of how little skill I actually lost. However, even that was not enough. This guy was good. And I mean very good. Gave me a run for my money every round. Some songs I killed him on. I had to bust out my secret weapon of the song Butterfly in order to regain a lead against him, but they were close runs all in all. Was nice to have someone actually give you a challenge at a game. Thats why you never let your guard down.

A well deserved quote of the day
"Even when one is pro, under certain circumstances one can be a noob."
